Ways to Participate

There are many ways you can participate in the CROP Hunger Walk:

Walk With Us!

Register online and/or obtain a walker Donation Envelope from a participating team captain, or call or e-mail to sign up as an individual walker. Secure as many sponsors as possible by inviting sponsors online and/or contacting people for cash/check donations, listing each person and pledge on the form provided in your envelope. (See Registration for more details.) Then join the Walk on November 5 at Burke Presbyterian Church!

Recruit More Walkers!

Invite and encourage your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers to walk with you. If you like, create a team online so that other people can join your team and invite online sponsors. Many people want to help and will appreciate the chance to participate.

Sponsor a Walker!

If you are unable to walk, sponsor other people who are walking. You can also sponsor walkers online. Please be as generous as possible for this annual event for the hungry.

Be a Spirit Walker!

Though unable to walk, you can raise funds and “walk in spirit”. Sign up online and/or obtain a walker Donation Envelope and secure as many sponsors as possible.

Be a Volunteer Helper!

We can always use more hands, feet, and energy to prepare for the Walk and on Walk Day. Contact Amy Stidham at stidham_a_crop@aol.com

Be a Sponsor of the Walk!

Sponsorships are vital in covering the administrative costs of the event. Local businesses and organizations in the Burke/Springfield/Fairfax/Fairfax Station/Clifton area are asked to consider making a cash donation to help sponsor the Walk. As an official sponsor, you help underwrite the costs and obtain visible recognition.

If you receive cash and/or check donations, you will need to obtain a walker Donation Envelope from a participating team leader, or call or e-mail to request one. Note: Checks should be made payable to CWS/CROP. Donation Envelopes and all collected money should be turned in no later than November 18 to the group's team leader or to the Walk Treasurer at:
